Westminster Home for Two Games
Coming off a 3-0 victory over CSU Eastbay, the Westminster men's soccer team (4-2/0-0) looks to continue the momentum as they begin
RMAC play with their home opener Friday when they host Regis in a 3 p.m. contest, followed by a Sunday noon matchup against Colorado School of Mines. Both games will be played at Dumke Field. Game tickets are available at

The Week In Review
The Westminster men's soccer team secured a decisive 3-0 win on the road against Cal State Eastbay (2-2-1) in non-conference play on Sunday.
From kickoff the Griffins controlled the tempo of the game neutralizing the East Bay offensive attack. The Pioneers finished with just two shots for the entire match as compared to 15 from the Griffins.
Jonnathan Rodriguez scored first goal in the 36th minute of play assist by
Danny Darelli to claim a 1-0 advantage at the intermission. Westminster then put in goals in the 55th when
Hunter Kone ran up the middle of the defense and placed his shot in the right side of the net.
Danny Darelli scored the final goal in the 74th minute of action with an assist from Jonathan Rodriguez to come away with the 3-0 victory.
The Griffins shot 15 times and put 11 of those chances on goal and had three corner kicks and seven fouls in the contest.
Men's Soccer
The 2017 season is the 34th season of competition for the Westminster men's soccer program. The Griffins went 4-13 last season, its second competing in the RMAC and against an NCAA Division II schedule. On Friday the Griffins will begin their third season of RMAC play since beginning the NCAA II provisionial membership process.
Scouting the Opponents
Regis (2-0) comes into Dumke Field ranked #18 The United Soccer Coaches (USC), previously the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Coaches' Poll. Last season the Ranges went defeated the Griffins twice during the conference season.
Colorado Mines currently sits at (2-2) with a Friday matchup in Grand Junction verse #6 Colorado Mesa (4-0) before traveling to Salt Lake City Sunday to face the Griffins. Striker John Haist was named the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring four goals last week for the Orediggers.
Looking Ahead
Westminster continues conference play with their second road trip of the season on September 22 when they travel to Durango, Colorado to take on Ft. Lewis at 3:30 pm, followed by a Sunday matchup at noon against Adams State in Alamosa, Colorado. Fans can follow the action on the
