Box Score HAYWARD, Ca., – The Westminster men's soccer team (4-2) secured a decisive 3-0 win on the road against Cal State Eastbay (2-2-1) in non-conference play on Sunday.

From kickoff the Griffins controlled the tempo of the game neutralizing the East Bay offensive attack. The Pioneers finished with just two shots for the entire match as compared to 15 from the Griffins.
Jonnathan Rodriguez scored first goal in the 36th minute of play assist by
Danny Darelli to claim a 1-0 advantage at the intermission. Westminster then put in goals in the 55th when
Hunter Kone ran up the middle of the defense and placed his shot in the right side of the net. Â
Danny Darelli scored the final goal in the 74th minute of action with an assist from Jonathan Rodriguez to come away with the 3-0 victory.
The Griffins shot 15 times and put 11 of those chances on goal and had three corner kicks and seven fouls in the contest.

Westminster returns to action this Friday and Sunday at Dumke Field to begin conference play. The action Friday begins at 3:00 pm as the Griffins take on Regis (2-0) and Sunday verse Colorado Mines (2-2) beginning at 12 noon.  Tickets are available at
