Griffins Return to Colorado for Two RMAC Games
The Westminster men's basketball team is set to play a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference games this weekend in Colorado. The Griffins will face Adams State on Friday in Alamosa, Colo. at 3 p.m. MST. They will then travel to Durango, Colo. to play at Fort Lewis on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. MST.
Both of the games this weekend will be broadcast live on the RMAC Network with the host institution producing the content. The RMAC Network is available at

About the Griffins
Westminster starts the third week of conference play with a 3-3* overall record. They are tied for third in the RMAC standings with a 3-1 record in league games. The Griffins are 1-1 in road games this season after splitting two road games last weekend.
Going into the weekend, Westminster is 12th in the RMAC by scoring 70.8 points per game. They are shooting 44.7 percent from the field and hitting on 38.1 percent from beyond the arc. The Griffins place third in the conference by making 78.2 percent from the foul line and they hit 6.2 triples per game.
Dayon Goodman leads the Griffins in scoring at 16.7 points per game. He ranks ninth in the RMAC with that average and he has scored in double figures in every game this season.

Goodman collects 7.7 rebounds per game to place fourth in the conference. Payton is seventh in assists and 3.8 while Evans is 10th by getting 1.3 steals. Goodman averages 1.5 blocks to place second in the RMAC and Bryce is fourth at 1.3.

They have recorded a winning record in every year except two (1999-00 and 2014-15) with 12 seasons recording at least 20 wins. Immediate Impact
Junior
Dayon Goodman has made an immediate impact on the team during his first year with the program. Goodman currently leads the Griffins in scoring at 16.7 points per game while grabbing a team-best 7.7 rebounds per game. He has scored in double figures in every game this season and has two double-doubles. Goodman is ninth in the RMAC in scoring and fourth in rebounds. He also sits second in the conference by getting 6.3 defensive rebounds and with 1.5 blocks per game.
Mr. Everything
After leading the team in scoring and being named second team all-conference last season,
Zerrion Payton is scoring 11.8 points per game this season. He leads the Griffins with 23 assists and has added 29 rebounds, six steals, and four blocked shots. Payton is seventh in the RMAC at 3.8 assists per game and is sixth by making 50 percent from beyond the arc.
Denied by Bryce
Marcus Bryce is scoring 7.5 points per game this season and is second on the team with eight blocked shots. Bryce sits fourth in the RMAC at 1.3 blocks per game. In just 32 games played with the Griffins, Bryce has recorded 34 blocked shots to rank fifth in team history. His current pace of 1.06 blocks per game ranks as the second-best average in school history.
