Griffin Notebook
Westminster looks to remain unbeaten this weekend as they begin the action at 4-0-1 on the season. They defeated Eastern Oregon, 3-0, in the home opener last Saturday and then played College of Idaho to a 1-1 draw in double overtime on Sunday. Dating back to last season, the current 10-game unbeaten streak is the longest such streak in school history.

The Griffins are scoring 1.8 goals per game through the first five games of the year. They have scored at least one goal in every game which extends their current streak of games with a goal to a school-record 14 consecutive outings. The team attempts 15.6 shots per game and they put 44.9 percent of those shots on goal. Westminster scores on every 8.67 shots they take.

The opposition has scored just one goal all season as the Griffins only surrender five shots per contest. Westminster began the year by going 363 minutes without allowing a goal before College of Idaho scored early in Sunday's game. The Griffins are currently seventh in the NAIA by allowing 0.20 goals per game.

Lexi Tucker and Abby Holbrook are tied for the team lead with two goals apiece. Tucker has taken a team-leading 18 shots on the year and she is tied with Rylei North for the lead with seven shots on goal. Both goals from Holbrook are game-winners and she is presently eighth in the country in that department. Nicole Carter leads the team with two assists and Miranda Olsen has the team's other assist.

Abi Yanke has played all 470 minutes of action at keeper and has a 0.19 goals-against-average. The junior is 4-0-1 on the year with four shutouts while making eight saves for an .889 save percentage.

About Northwestern
Northwestern begins the week at 1-2 overall this season and they will host Mount Mercy (Iowa) for a game before traveling to Salt Lake City. The Red Raiders are scoring 1.67 goals per game, getting all five goals during a 5-1 win last Saturday. They take 12.3 shots per game with 5.67 of them on goal. Tyler Farr leads the team with three goals and Mattie Ostrowski has a team-best two assists.

About Corban
Corban will make the trip to SLC at 3-2-1 on the year and coming off a 0-1-1 outing last weekend. The Warriors are scoring 1.17 goals on 12.67 shots per contests. They are allowing 0.67 goals per game to the opposition with an .840 save percentage. Katelyn Fekkes has scored a team-best two goals and four different players have tallied on assist.

Unbeaten Streak
Dating back to last season, Westminster has gone unbeaten over its last 10 outings. The Griffins closed the 2013 season by going 4-0-1 over the final five games and they have now opened the 2014 season with that same 4-0-1 record. The 10-game unbeaten streak is a school record, surpassing the previous record of six set during the 2007 season.

Shutout Streak
The four consecutive shutouts recorded by the Griffins to start the seasons tied for the second-longest shutout streak in school history. The 2010 team posted a shutout in five-straight games to set the school record. Westminster also went 395 minutes without allowing a goal dating back to last year's finale. That is the third-longest span without allowing a goal in team history.

Streaking
Miranda Olsen has never missed a game in her career and is climbing the chart of consecutive appearances. The senior has played in all three games this season and ranks fourth in school history by playing in 65-straight outings.

More Streaking
Olsen's streak also carries into a span of 47 consecutive starts heading into this week's action. Starting with the final three games of her freshman campaign in 2011, Olsen has started every game since. Her 47 straight starts rank as the third-longest consecutive games started span in school history.

75 Win Club
With a 3-0 win over Eastern Oregon last Saturday, Westminster Head Coach Tony LeBlanc recorded the 75th win of his career. As the only head coach in the history of the program, LeBlanc has led the Griffins to an average of 10 wins per season and two trips to the NAIA National Championships.

Double Figure Wins
Westminster has been consistent in the past four seasons where they have notched at least 11 wins and finished with a winning record in each of those seasons. The Griffins are 53-27-8 (.648) since the 2010 season and they have made two trips to the NAIA National Championships. During that span, a total of 26 teams across the NAIA have had double-digit victories in all four seasons.

Home Cooking
The Griffins have been stellar at Dumke Field since the inception of the program in 2007. They have a 43-13-5 all-time record on the home turf after posting a 7-3 record at home last season. Westminster won a school-record nine-straight home games during the 2011 campaign and extended it to 16-straight unbeaten when carried into the 2012 season.

Climbing the Charts
Abi Yanke has opened 2014 at the same level that fans got used to seeing last season. The junior goalkeeper has made eight saves through five games in four shutout victories. She now ranks second in school history with 21 shutouts and third among all Griffins with 12 career victories.

Nothing Gets Past
Yanke is also the school's all-time lead with a career goals-against-average of 0.54. The junior has given up just 11 goals during her 1,834 minutes of action. Her .807 save percentage would tie her with Lindsay Bekken for first in school history, but she needs four more saves to qualify in that category.

Looking Ahead
Westminster will head back to the road next weekend as they travel to play three games. They begin at Marygrove (Mich.) on Sept. 19 before facing Grand (Ind.) on Sept. 20. After a day off, the Griffins will close the trip at 14th-ranked Spring Arbor (Mich.) on Sept. 22.
