Box Score GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The Westminster College women's volleyball team lost a five-set match at Great Falls (Mont.) on Saturday night in the McLaughlin Center.
Westminster drops to 13-10 overall with the loss and 6-6 in Frontier Conference play. Great Falls improves to 18-10 and 9-5 with the 28-30, 25-11, 15-25, 25-21, 17-15 win.
The Griffins hit .130 in the match with 55 kills, including a 16-kill and .406 hitting in set three. UGF finished with 54 kills and a .175 hitting efficiency. Westminster had a 10-9 edge in blocks while picking up 73 digs and seven service aces.
Kenzie Mitchell led Westminster with 17 kills and hit .361 on the evening. The junior also picked up nine digs, two blocks and one ace in the match.
Ashley Marchant had a double-double with 15 kills and 15 digs while also posting two service aces.
Emily Atkinson had 41 assists and eight digs and
Kyndall Kordakis had 20 digs.
Kelsey Van Uden led UGF with 19 kills with Tianna Harland contributing 12 kills. Jenna Prescott had 22 digs with Kila Adam getting 15 digs.
Westminster returns to action on Saturday when they face Montana State-Northern in Havre, Mont. The action from the Armory Gymnasium will begin at 2 p.m.
