Box Score GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The Westminster College men's soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss at Great Falls (Mont.) on Sunday afternoon in Frontier Conference action.
Westminster falls to 10-5-1 overall this season and complete Frontier Conference play at 1-2-1. Great Falls improves to 11-2-2 and 2-1 with the win. The loss eliminates Westminster from any shot at the Frontier Conference regular season title.
Neither team managed to score in the opening half of the contest. UGF would score the game's only goal in the 49th minute when Antonio Gonzalez finished on one of his two shots on the afternoon. Danny Delgadillo was credited with an assist on the game-winning goal.
The Griffin offense attempted six shots in the contest and had three of those on goal. No individual took more than one shot for the team and
Wilson Larson,
Jace Maxfield and
Manuel Duenas managed the three shots on goal.
Nathan Young suffered the loss in goal despite making three saves.
Westminster will conclude the regular season on Saturday when they play at Cal State San Marcos at 2 p.m.
