Volleyball Falls at Western in Four

Box Score DILLON, Mont. – The Westminster College women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision at Montana Western on Saturday evening in Frontier Conference action.

Westminster drops to 13-9 overall and 6-5 in the Frontier Conference with the 20-25, 25-23, 15-25, 20-25 loss. The win improves Montana western to 10-14 and 5-7.

The Griffins struggled offensively all night as the finished with a .006 hitting efficiency. They recorded 40 kills in the match, but also had 39 errors. Westminster didn't hit above .061 in any set and had a -.083 in the third set. The team did post eight blocks and held Western to .098 hitting with 43 kills.

Four different Griffins had seven kills in the match with Stephanei Jones Morin leading the pack with a .357 efficiency. Ashley Marchant, Alexis Aalona and Kenzie Mitchell also had seven kills apiece. Jovana Sisovic provided a spark with five kills and hit .333. Kyndall Kordakis had 30 digs with Emily Atkinson going for 30 assists and 11 digs for her fourth straight double-double.

Brea Mitchell led UMW with 12 kills and Bailey Branson added 11 kills. Paige Latimer finished with 36 assists and 12 digs with Shelby Mack posting 29 digs.

Westminster will return to the road next weekend and they begin on Friday at Great Falls at 7 p.m.
