SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster College women's volleyball team returns to the Behnken Field House for two matches this weekend. The play Rocky Mountain (Mont.) on Friday at 7 p.m. and then face No. 25 Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Both games will be carried live on Griffins TV and have live stats available. Fans can access Griffins TV and the live stats at WestminsterGriffins.com.

Westminster returns home at 12-7 overall this season and they are 5-3 in Frontier Conference action. They are currently 1.5 games behind Lewis-Clark State in the race and sit in fourth place with one match remaining against each of the teams in front of them.

The Griffins continue to receive votes in the NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll that was released on Tuesday. Westminster was listed among the other teams receiving votes with three points. They have now received votes in each of the previous six polls. Westminster also sits at No. 34 in the current edition of the Massey Ratings.

Westminster has posted a 7-1 mark at home this season and have won three straight home matches. The Griffins are a perfect 11-0 when they win the first set this year and 9-0 if they win the second set. The team has also recorded a 4-0 record in matches that go to five sets.

Ashley Marchant currently leads the team with 199 kills while hitting .232. She has recorded double figures in kills 10 times this season and is riding a six-match streak. The senior has also picked up 200 digs and 29 service aces with seven double-doubles.

Alexis Aalona is second on the team with 156 kills and is hitting .199. Aalona recorded a career-high 23 kills against Carroll and was named the Frontier Conference Player of the Week on Oct. 1. The sophomore has also recorded 12 aces and 114 digs.

Kyndall Kordakis leads the defense with 323 digs and ranks third in the Frontier at 4.55 digs per set. Marchant's 200 digs rank second on the team and Emily Atkinson is third with 172. Stephanie Jones Morin has posted a team-high 57 blocks with Vance adding 38 to rank second. Atkinson is second in the Frontier with 685 assists.

Against the Opposition
Rocky Mountain leads the all-time series against Westminster, 13-7, after the 3-0 sweep in Billings on Saturday. The Griffins have lost 10 consecutive matches in the series and have been swept in eight of those. The last Westminster win was a 3-0 sweep on Nov. 16, 2007.

LCSC leads the series against Westminster 20-5. The Warriors have won 14 straight matches in the series, including a 3-0 sweep in Lewiston last month.
