SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster College women's volleyball team was swept at home by seventh-ranked College of Idaho on Wednesday night in the Behnken Field House.  This is the second home loss in as many nights for the Griffins.

Westminster falls to 7-11 overall this season with the 22-25, 20-25, 20-25 loss.  College of Idaho improves to 14-1.

Ashley Marchant led the Griffins with 12 kills while hitting .286 in the match.  She also added four digs and three service aces.  Katie Vance and Kenzie Mitchell recorded seven kills each with Alexis Aalona picking up four.  Emily Atkinson dished out 27 assists with five digs.

The Griffins finished with 33 kills and a .147 hitting efficiency.  They also recorded five aces, 37 digs and five blocks.  C of I had 42 kills with a .223 hitting efficiency and nine aces.

Westminster will return to action on Thursday, October 13 when they face Carroll College in a Frontier Conference match in Helena, Mont.
