Box Score HELENA, Mont. – The Westminster College women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 sweep at No. 24 Carroll College on Thursday night in Frontier Conference action. Carroll earns a season sweep of the two meetings with the victory.
Westminster's record drops to 7-12 overall this season with their fifth straight loss. The Griffins are now 4-4 in conference. Carroll improves to 13-5 and 6-2.
Katie Vance led the Griffins with seven kills in the 19-25, 24-26, 23-25 loss. The sophomore also had two blocks and three digs.
Stephanie Jones Morin added six kills and three blocks while
Ashley Marchant and
Alexis Aalona had five kills apiece.
Emily Atkinson posted a double-double with 25 assists and 10 digs with
Kyndall Kordakis getting 15 digs.
Carroll finished the night with a 47-29 advantage in kills and hit .198 to the .142 by the Griffins. Westminster recorded six service aces and eight blocks. They also popped up 48 digs.
Westminster will look to snap the current losing skid on Saturday when they face No. 9 Rocky Mountain College. The first serve in Billings, Mont. will be at 2 p.m.
