SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster men's soccer team hits the road to Nebraska for two games against ranked opponents this weekend. The Griffins will face 25th-ranked Bellevue on Saturday, October 9 and then visit No. 4 Hastings on Sunday, October 10.
Westminster will head to Nebraska with an 8-4 overall record after a 2-0 win over Rocky Mountain College on October 3. They received one vote in this week's edition of the 2010 NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 poll. The win snapped a three-game losing streak and improved the Griffins to 1-1 in the Frontier Conference.
As a team, Westminster is averaging 1.75 goals per contest while taking 14.1 shots. They have put 80 of those shots on goal and scored on 12.4% of those total shots. The team has also taken 44 corner kicks. Defensively they allow 1.08 goals per game and hold the opposition to 10.8 shots per game. Griffin opponents have taken 58 corners and are 2-for-2 on penalty kicks.
Dennis Sellis continues to lead the team with eight goals despite missing the last two games with an injury. He leads the NAIA with five game winning goals and leads the team with 25 total shots.

Nic Duncan each scored against Rocky and now have four goals apiece this season. Duncan has nine points to rank second on the team while
Jonathan Parker has a team-best three assists.
Damir Sabanovic posted his third shutout of the season against Rocky and lowered his GAA to 0.39. He has allowed just two goals while making 19 saves in his five games played.
Nathan Young has a 1.56 GAA and has made 29 saves playing in seven games.
