Women’s Volleyball Splits Two Matches over the Weekend

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BUTTE, Mont. – The Westminster women's volleyball team went 1-1 over the weekend during a Frontier Conference road trip in Montana. Westminster opened the trip with a 3-0 win over Montana Western on Friday evening. The Griffins then dropped a 3-1 decision in Butte against Montana Tech on Saturday. The Griffins are now 9-11 on the season and 5-6 in the Frontier Conference.

Against Western, the Griffins banged out 41 kills with a .211 hitting efficiency. Clotile Harris led the way with 11 kills while adding seven digs. Stephanie Jones had six kills with a .462 hitting efficiency and one block. Emily Atkinson posted 28 assists while Kyndall Kordakis racked up 17 digs.

In the match with Montana Tech, Westminster hit just .089 with only 42 kills. They were outblocked 12-5 with Tech recording 73 digs to just 62 by the Griffins. Harris and Ericka Evans led the way with 15 and 10 kills respectively. Atkinson posted a double-double with 32 assists and 10 digs.

Westminster will return to the Behnken Field House for two matches next week, starting on Thursday, October 28 against Great Falls at 7 p.m.
