BOX SCORE

FRESNO, Calif. – The Westminster men's soccer team upset No. 22 The Master's College 1-0 on Saturday night at the Fresno Pacific Tournament. Westminster got an 11th minute goal from Dennis Sellis, and then hung on for the victory. The win improves the Griffins to 4-5-1 on the season and avenges an August 28 loss to The Master's College.

Sellis took a pass from Isaac Green, beat the keeper and buried his shot into an empty net. His second goal of the season goal came on one of Westminster's four shots in the contest. The Master's held a 14-4 advantage in shots attempted in the contest.

Westminster keeper Val Campbell recorded four saves in picking up his fourth win and second shutout of the year. Campbell made three of those four saves during the second half to preserve the victory.

Westminster returns to action on Friday, September 25 when they host Soka University. First kick is at 4:30 p.m. on Dumke Field.
