Women’s Soccer Headed to Frontier Conference Tournament

Vanessa Jordan and the Griffins are headed to the postseason for the seconed consecutive year.
SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster women's soccer team begins postseason play this weekend as they travel to Helena, Montana for the Frontier Conference/DAC Women's Soccer Tournament. Westminster earned the No. 2 seed for the tournament based on Longo and TPI ratings. The Griffins will face No. 3 seed Rocky Mountain College on Friday, November 6 at 2:00 p.m. All games of the tournament will be played at Nelson Stadium on the campus of Carroll College.

Westminster and Rocky split two games during the regular season, with each with each winning on their home field. The Griffins won 2-1 in Salt Lake City on October 3. Rocky won 2-1 in overtime on October 22 in Billings. Rocky leads the all-time series with Westminster 5-2.

The winner of the Westminster/Rocky Mountain game will face the winner of the Carroll versus Great Falls contest. That game is slated for noon on Friday. The championship game will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7 at Nelson Stadium. The winner of this tournament receives an automatic invite to the NAIA Unaffiliated Tournament on November 11-14 in Dallas, Texas.
