BILLINGS, Mont. – The Westminster men's soccer team used three second half goals to secure a 4-0 victory over Rocky Mountain College on Friday afternoon. The win is the fifth consecutive for the Griffins and improves their record to 8-5-1 on the season.
Stephen Littlefield gave Westminster a 1-0 advantage on the 13th minute off a corner kick with the assist to
Gabe Gonzalez.
Dennis Sellis scored his team leading eighth goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 54th minute.
Spencer Luczak made it 3-0 in the 63rd minute heading in a free kick from
Daniel Duke.
Matt Jimenez finished off the scoring with his gal in the 73rd minute from
Tysen Gehring.
Westminster had a 12-7 advantage on total shots. Sellis les the team with four shots and was the only Griffin with multiple shots. The Griffins only put five shots on frame, scoring on four of them.
Val Campbell made four saves for his seventh victory and third shutout of the season.
Westminster takes a day off before facing Great Falls on Sunday, October 11. First kick in Great Falls, Montana is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
