Box Score SALT LAKE CITY - It took five sets for the Westminster Griffins to claim a 3-2 victory over Montana Tech on Saturday afternoon. Westminster won by scores of 21-25, 25-13, 25-20, 23-25, 15-12 to improve to 2-7 on the season, but 2-0 in Frontier Conference action. Montana Tech falls to 7-7 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

Sophomores Janelle Kendall and Ericka Evans carried the Griffins all afternoon. Kendall finished with a career best 15 kills, recording her second consecutive double-double as she had 11 digs. Evans tallied 13 kills, also a career high and hit .355 for the match. Leigh Dangerfield dished out 38 assists and racked up 22 digs for the Griffins. Dangerfield also had four service aces.

Westminster will now hit the road for two matches next weekend. They will face Great Falls on Thursday, September 18, and conclude the trip on Saturday, September 20 at Montana State-Northern.
