Box Score SALT LAKE CITY - The Westminster Griffins used the play of junior Ali Culp to pick up a win in their Frontier Conference opener on Thursday night. Westminster improved to 1-7 on the season and 1-0 in conference behind the 25-19, 25-23, 25-21 win over Montana Western.
Culp set a school record with her .613 hitting percentage, recording a season-best 19 kills on 31 attempts with zero hitting errors. Culp also added eight digs and one service ace to her stat line.

Janelle Kendall each had seven kills for the Griffins. Kendall also added four blocks and a career high 12 digs.
Westminster returns to the Behnken Field House on Saturday, September 13 when they face Montana Tech. First serve between the Griffins and Orediggers is slated for 2:00 p.m.
