Box Score 2 IRVINE, Calif. - Westminster went 0-2 on the final day of the Concordia Labor Day Tournament on Saturday. They started with a tough loss to Westmont 3-1 (20-25, 25-23, 17-25, 22-25). Then they fell to 0-7 on the year by losing in three sets to top-ranked Fresno Pacific (9-25, 11-25, 19-25).
Ali Culp led the Griffins with 14 kills against Westmont. She finished with her double-double by adding 13 digs in the match.
Ericka Evans added nine kills while
Janelle Kendall pitched in eight.
Leigha Dangerfield had 31 assists, making her just the second Griffin to reach 1,000 career assists. She now has 1,026 in just over one season.
In the Fresno Pacific match, Evans and Culp led all Griffins with four kills each. Evans added 11 digs for her second double-double of the year. The Sunbirds dominated play and held the Griffins to a -.047 hitting efficiency and just 14 total kills.
