Box Score SALT LAKE CITY - The Westminster Griffins dropped a four set match against Mesa State to conclude day one of the NAIA Tournament of Champions. Westminster fell by scores of 25-17, 10-25, 15-25, 17-25. They were outhit .212 to .044 and recorded just 29 kills for the match.
Ericka Evans led all Griffins with 11 kills and completed the double-double night with 11 digs.
Leigha Dangerfield recorded her 13th career double-double with her 25 assists and 14 digs. Westminster held a 9-to-4 advantage in total blocks, led by four from
Brittani Barton.
The Griffins return to action on Saturday morning when they face third-ranked Concordia at 10:00 am. The match will be played at the Lifetime Activities Center on the campus of Salt Lake Community College.
