Box Score DURANGO, Colo. – The Westminster men's basketball team saw its season opening 10-game winning streak come to an end at Fort Lewis on Saturday night. Fort Lewis (6-2) used a 20-6 run during eight minutes spanning both halves to take control of the game and turn an eight point Westminster (10-1) lead into a six point advantage. The lead reach 15 with six minutes left before Westminster made a charge to cut the advantage to four with 42 seconds left. Fort Lewis made 3-of-4 free throws from there to seal the victory.
Westminster shot 50.8 percent from the field and was led by a season high 19 points from
Danny Stosich.
Jordan Jacobs scored 17 points, making 5-of-10 attempts from beyond the arc. Westminster held a 19-6 advantage in bench scoring, led by 10 from Wes Anderson.
The Griffins forced 12 turnovers and turned them into 14 points with six coming on the break. They also put up 40 points in the paint.

Jeramie Hopson each scored 12 with Payne grabbing nine rebounds.
Kirk Archibeque and Jordan Brooks had 20 points apiece to lead the Skyhawks. Brooks recorded a double-double with 11 rebounds. Fort Lewis held a 40-26 cushion on the boards with 18 coming on the offensive end resulting in 23 points. They also scored 17 points off of 11 Westminster turnovers.
Westminster is now off until December 29 when they face Concordia (Neb.) in Mesa, Arizona.
