Westminster Gets by Ninth-Ranked Concordia

Box Score LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Westminster improved to 6-0 on the season with an 89-81 win over ninth-ranked Concordia (Calif.) on Saturday night. The Griffins turned a two point halftime advantage into an eight point win behind a 51 point second half. 13th-ranked Westminster reaches 6-0 for the first time in school histroy and Concordia falls to 1-1 on the season with the loss.

Jordan Jacobs led the Griffins with 21 points. He went 5-of-7 from the floor and connected on 9-of-10 free throws. Geoff Payne added 16 points and six rebounds. Blair Prowse and Wes Anderson each scored 16 points off the Westminster bench. As a team, Westminster shot 63.8 percent from the floor and went 6-of-11 from 3-point range.

Westminster now heads to Caldwell, Idaho for the Golden Rule Shootout. They open against Eastern Oregon on Friday, November 21 at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday, November 22 they will face the host College of Idaho at 8:00 p.m.
