Westminster University Athletics

Ryan Smith from the men's soccer team has been named a Westminster College Student-Athlete of the Month for November. The senior from Riverton, Utah, helped the Griffins to the semi-finals of the Unaffiliated Conference Tournament by scoring three goals in the quarterfinal game with Walla Walla.

Smith collected 14 goals and one assist for a total of 29 points in 2013. The 5-foot-10 forward scored eight goals in the team's final four games of the year, including the hat trick.  His four game-winning goals rank 28th in the NAIA and her is 31st in the country with those 14 goals. He was named All-Frontier Conference for the first time in his career and also made the Unaffiliaed Conference all-star team.
