Men's Academic All-Conference Basketball Team Announced

SALT LAKE CITY – Frontier Conference Commissioner Kent Paulson released the 2009-2010 academic all-conference men's basketball team today. To be eligible for the team, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in standing, maintain a 3.0 GPA and participate in one half of their team's games.

Westminster College had nine players selected to the academic all-conference team followed by Carroll College with eight, University of Great Falls with seven, Montana Tech with four, Lewis-Clark State with three, Rocky Mountain with two and, Montana State-Northern and Montana Western with one each.

Weston Anderson and Conner Nielsen made the team for the third time in their careers. Tanner Gregory, Jeramie Hopson, Blair Prowse, and Michael Stockton each made the team for a second time. Chris cassity, Nick Hovda, and Ben Walker all made the team for the first time. The Griffins have now had 99 student-athletes named academic all-conference in the 11 years since reinstatement in 1999.
