SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster women's lacrosse team had two players named to the Rocky Mountain Women's Lacrosse League All-Conference teams. Erika Rebentisch was named to the second team and Marti Denkers made the third team. They become the first players from Westminster to receive All-Conference recognition in the first year of the program.
Rebentisch, a freshman from Salt Lake City, led the Griffins with 19 goals and 20 total points. Her 19 goals were tied for third in the RMWLL while the 20 points ranked fourth in the league. She scored the first goal in the history of the program just 12 seconds into the first game.
Denkers, a sophomore from Roy, Utah, played every game in goal for the Griffins. She posted an 11.50 goals against average in 350 minutes played. She ranked third in the conference in GAA among goalies with more than three starts.
Westminster finished the year at 3-3 in the RMWLL, good for 12 points and fourth place overall. They began the year with two straight home wins over Wyoming and Northern Colorado.
