SALT LAKE CITY – The defending MCLA D-II champion Westminster men's lacrosse team will begin its title defense on Tuesday, May 12 against Missouri State. Opening face-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on an outer field at Dick's Sorting Goods Park in Denver, Colorado. The winner of this first-ever meeting will face St. Thomas on Wednesday, May 13 at 4:00 p.m. CollegeLAX will provide a live blog and goal-by-goal coverage of the game on their web site, www.collegelax.us.
Westminster enters the tournament as the No. 7 seed with an 11-7 overall record. They are coming off a loss to Northern Colorado in the RMLC championship game on May 2.
Josh Condas leads the team with 43 goals and was named Second Team All-RMLC.
Dallas McLellan averages 13.6 saves per game while posting a 7.23 goals against average. He was named First Team All-RMLC at goalie last week.
