Salt Lake City – The Westminster Griffins cross-country team has a big race ahead as both the men's and women's teams will have the opportunity to bring home a region championship at the 2018 NCAA Division II South Central Regional Cross-Country Championship on Saturday, Nov. 17.

Representing the women's team for Westminster will be Katie Scott, Christine Sheehan, Hannah Rohrer-Fitzhugh, Cali Corkan, Dodge Hovermale, Saydi Anderson and Madison Vilhauer. The women will hit the starting line at 11:45 as they will race in the 6K event.

For the men's team Eric Mellmer, DJ Matthews, Skyler Hobbs, Luke Cobabe and Andrew Ross will all be running in the 10K which begins at 10:30.

Both teams are led by head coach Dan Quinn and assistant coach Marquis DuPre as both coaches have been getting prepared for this race all season long and have each player well prepared to compete in the Regional Conference Championship.
